Then I went to a high school called Colegio San Agustín, also near to my house, there I knew good friends. Later I began to study Mining Engineering at Universidad de Santiago de Chile, for 3 years. After that I entered to Universidad de Chile to study Sociology, now I'm in my second year and I like this.

About myself

My name is Daniela Olivares Collío, I was born in Santiago, Chile. All my life I have lived in El Bosque. Today I live with my mother, brother, my grandfather and my little she dog called Juno. At present she is pregnant of six beautiful puppies. Maybe in one week she will become mother.

I like to be an informed people and read some books of poetry, sociology and novels. I love Mario Benedetti like a man of letters, and as a person.

I don't like seafood and cabbage. I prefer fruits and vegetables, and mainly charquicán.

I think many people in Chile doesn`t know about their rights, and that is one of the big problem that we have in our society.

Eat out

I like to eat at home with my family and my boyfriend. Cook together it's a nice thing. I love when my mother cooks "Pantrucas" or when my brother brings roast chicken with french fries. I love too when my boyfriend create new dishes or when Karina cook sherry chicken with rice. But I like to eat out.

When I go out to eat, with my family mostly, I like to go to Piccola Italia, of italian food of course, located in different places of Santiago, but the nearest to my house is the Vicuña Mackenna one. My mother loves this place, because she loves lasagna, and I like meat "al disco". But in this place, they take the 10% of the waiters'tip for the restaurant if the costumers pay with card, and we condemn that.

Like I said on the previous post, I love Boulevard Lavaud, located in the corner of streets Compañía with Libertad, near to Plaza Brasil, in the Center of Santiago. There serves chilean food and some french food, like the desserts. It's a little expensive for me but the food it's really good. I like to go there to have tea and sometimes I order the "popurri the postres".

Santiago City

Santiago haves different places, for different people. The public transport is better than others Latin-American countries, but is more expensive too.

Of Santiago I like “La Vega Central” because in there we can found a lot of food. Fruits from different countries, and we can find almost everything for cook something special. I like the Cordillera de Los Andes too. After the rain it's an spectacular view.

I hate that, in Santiago, exist a kind of "sanitary wall", like the Vicuña Mackenna´s city. But now is the Vespucio Highway that makes some neighborhood fringe. Live in the suburbs in Santiago isn't a good think. Some districts even have internet signal.

If I have to give to a visitor a tip from Santiago, I think I would say that he or she must visit the "Boulevard Lavaud", located in the corner of streets Compañía with Libertad, near to Plaza Brasil, in the Center of Santiago. It's a magic place, very beautiful, and the food is really good. I would recommend him or her, to try the crème brulée.

And when I ask him about where he found information, he teach me this page. I like this website because haves many kinds of viewpoints, and the political reports are very good.
